Fred De Schauwers invites you on a journey to south-western France to discover the repertoire that inspires him so much! He will share with you his 15 years of experience in dances from Gascony, the Basque Country and Quercy.
Depending on the group's preferences, you will learn a selection from the following dances:
Branle d'Ossau en chaîne, autres possibilités de pas pour le Branle d'Ossau en couple, Branlous, "Petites" danses de Gascogne (scottishs particulières de Gascogne, Républicaine, Mazurka de Bergerac…), Congo de Captieux et autres congos simples et plus complexes (de Villereal, de la Sauvetat-de-Savères…), autres possibilités de rythme pour le rondeau en chaîne et jeux collectifs et du meneur, différentes possibilités de rondeaux à 4 en ligne, Rondeau et congos des Petites Landes, variations de style et de rythme pour le rondeau en couple, Axuri Beltza, sauts basques et sauts béarnais.

Usefull information
These dance classes are given in French.
For intermediate and advanced dancers. You must master the basic steps of the rondeau en couple. We do not expect any other prior knowledge of this repertoire. So no problem if you didn't follow the previous term of lessons with Fred.
You never need to bring a dance partner to our lessons, workshops or balls. You can sign up alone, as a couple, with friends or colleagues…
