General information

Planning

Each year, Frisse Folk organises over 20 dance workshops on Saturday and Sunday. Most of these workshops take place in Brussels, but we’re also active in Antwerp, Ghent, and Herk-de-Stad. Workshops are perfect to intensively practise a given theme or repertoire. We often invite foreign professors to Belgium for these purposes.

In July, Frisse Folk publishes on this website all workshops it organises itself from September until December. The programme from January until June is announced early December.

No need for a dance partner

For our workshops, you never need a dance partner. We regularly switch partners for the couple dances.

Languages

Workshops in Brussels are normally taught in French, with succinct translations to Dutch or English as needed. Workshops in Flanders are taught in Dutch, with translations to French (or English). If truly necessary, we try to conduct workshops entirely in two languages. Koen and Elena are also speak multiple languages, so individual feedback during workshops taught by them is provided in your own language.

Punctuality

We ask you to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the workshop, so we can start at the advertised time.
We hope to see you soon!
