Workshop Turning variations for mazurka  by Koen Dhondt

 

Programme 

  • We are going to learn how to change the direction of rotation while dancing scottish. The couples will turn right and left alternately at different moments in the dance.
  • The emphasis is on communication in dance and on leading and following, with adapted exercises. 
  • You will also get some general dance tips and personal corrections.

We suggest all participants bring something for tea. Potluck!

The bar will be open throughout the day. Frisse Folk offers water for free 

Language

Our workshops in Brussels are usually given in French, with translations into Dutch or English if necessary. Koen is fluent in 5 languages, so you will get individual feedback in the language of your choice.

Ponctuality

Please arrive 15 minutes before the advertised starting time of the workshop, so we can start on time.

LEVEL

For intermediate and advanced dancers.  You should have a good dance posture, you need to master the basic steps, and be familiar with leading and/or following.

If you have at least 2 years of experience in another type of couple dance  (forro, salsa, tango, ballroom, …) and a good learning speed, you can also participate, even if you have never danced mazurka.

Dance Partner

It is never necessary to register as a couple for our dance workshops. 
Therefore, you can register alone, as a couple, with friends …
