Workshop Occitan Singing with Joachim Montbord

Programme 

Joachim Montbord invites you to discover or rediscover the pleasure of singing in Occitan. During this course, you'll learn traditional songs, designed to be danced to or simply listened to and shared.

You'll work on

• The accuracy of Occitan pronunciation, to give the song its full colour.
• Breathing, essential for performing these songs with energy.
• Singing in one or more voices, to explore harmonies and enrich your practice.

A great opportunity to combine vocal technique with immersion in a rich, living culture!

This workshop will give you a foretaste of the Bal with Man Encantada, Joachim Montbord's band, in the same venue. Don't forget to book your ticket for this ball (5.30pm – 10pm).

In the morning, you can also attend Remi Kesteman's dance workshop at the Maalbeek, and the day before, Koen will be giving a workshop about congo in Mechelen. 

If you like singing, don't miss the workshop Occitan singing with Guillaume Lopez (some singing experience is required) on Saturday 5 April.
