Workshop folk dance for beginners – level 1  – Koen Dhondt

Programme

In this workshop for beginners and "semi-beginners", we discover the most common folk dances.

We look in depth at the basic steps of most group and couple dances and at some simple, fun variations on them: Jig, magic circle, scottish, mazurka, gavotte de l'Aven, polka and hanterdro.

We pay a lot of attention to a good dancing posture and, if necessary, to unlearning "bad dancing habits". This makes this workshop not only suitable for beginners, but also for people who have been going to balls and festivals for a while, but never learned the dances in detail.

Continue learning after the workshop?
After this workshop you can join one of the groups of the current trimester. The dance teacher will tell you more about it.

Please refer to the menu to find all information on general organisation of our workshops, prices and discounts etc.

If you need any help to make a reservation, do not hesitate to contact us (also in English, Spanish, Portuguese or Dutch).
