Workshop Breton dances with Kurt Garrez & Jeroen Laureyssens

Program

Breton dancing offers a unique and wonderful way to immerse yourself in traditional Breton music. You will learn some of the most famous dances from this enchanting French region.

Whether you are a beginner, already have some experience or are an advanced dancer, this workshop is open to everyone. Imagine yourself in the heart of Brittany as you move yourself from one dance step to the next and feel every note of the music flow through.

Our workshop highlights a range of well-known dances, such as the An Dro, Hanter Dro, Tricot, rond de Saint Vincent, kost ar c'hoat, (suite) plinn, gavotte de l'Aven. We will also explore lesser-known dances such as (suite) gavotte des montagnes, ridée, laridé and Kas a Barh.

These dances are known for their lively rhythms, energy and beautiful patterns. The experienced dance teacher will guide you every step of the way so that you can fully experience the joy of dancing.

  • Dance : Kurt Garrez
  • Music (accordion) : Jeroen Laureyssens

Workshop with 2 teacher so the next paragraph is even more important than usual.

Fair Trade Price

Good dance workshops are labour-intensive, both for the teacher and for the organiser. At Frisse Folk we want to pay for all this work in a fair way, but we also try to keep the workshops accessible to dancers with a limited budget at a discount rate.

You can support our vision by paying the Fair trade price, on a voluntary basis. More info
