Discover the many ways to play with rhythm in one of our most popular folk dances: the scottish. How do you recognize that rhythm in the music? And how do you convey it to your dance partner? And (re)learn the scottish impaire! Vary and improvise in this scottish workshop.
* Sunday 17/5 13:00 – 14:00: Dance initiation – Anita
This workshop is open to everyone. We invite the students and teachers of De Prins and the locals of Diest to come and dance with us and discover Dafodil. In this dance initiation, beginners get every chance to take their first or second steps in folk dancing. Together with more experienced dancers they learn to enjoy circassian circle, andro, waltz, bourrée and others, under the expert guidance of Anita Iliaens. The ideal preparation for the ball on Sunday afternoon.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the advertised starting time of the workshop, so we can start on time.
* scottish variations : intermediate & advanced level. You should be familiar with leading or following and have at least 6 monthts of folk dance experience.
It is never necessary to register as a couple for our dance workshops. We will often change partners.
