Workshop hidden pleasures of bourrée with Pierre Chesneau

Have you ever felt like you just don’t understand bourrée at all? Or, on the contrary, that you’ve already figured it all out? Maybe you’ve thought that bourrée – this centuries-old dance passed down from generation to generation – just isn’t very “fun,” and maybe not really for you? Or perhaps you’ve always been a fan, and take every chance to dance it?!

Whichever of these scenarios sounds familiar, we have the perfect dance workshop for you: The Hidden Pleasures of Bourrée with Pierre Chesneau!

Originally from the heartland of bourrée in France, at the foot of the Morvan and between Berry and Bourbonnais, Pierre has been dancing both 2-time and 3-time bourrées in line since his childhood. With 15 years of expertise in dance pedagogy and facilitation, he will share with passion and precision his love for this unique and timeless form of dance.

Programme

Through a careful focus on the step, playful work with improvisation dynamics, and the exploration of refined choreographic systems, you’ll discover the depth and joy of bourrée in line, in both 2-time and 3-time. Come and uncover what you never knew about bourrée, or deepen what you already enjoy in this dance full of character.
An experience of dance, conviviality, and cultural immersion, full of fun and energy!
