Workshop breton dances with Pierre Chesneau

Programme

Have you ever found yourself completely lost trying to join a gavotte des montagnes? Or fallen into total boredom during an Andro that went on too long? Arms aching during a rond de Saint-Vincent ? Sore legs during a Plinn? And what if I told you there's a simple, effective, and truly profound solution to all these problems?!

In this 5-hour workshop (including snack breaks), come explore the universe of Breton dances in anticipation of the ball at La Tricoterie with the incredible Duo Le Bour Bodros. A rare opportunity to immerse yourself in a different "dance logic" while benefiting from Pierre Chesneau's expertise and passion. Pierre, a folk dancer since age 9, grew up in the traditional balls of central France and Breton fest-noz every summer. Throughout his development as an internationally recognized teacher, he has often worked on and explored the richness of movement, music, and cultural expression in Breton dances.

He returns to offer this enriching workshop for Frisse Folk this January 2025, much to our delight. An analytical, holistic, and felt approach for an enrichment of perspective and movement.

We invite you to join the dance, complete the circle, and experience for yourself the incredible taste of energy exchange and the magic of Breton dances!

This workshop is ideal preparation for the folk ball with Le Bour Bodros & Naragonia Quartet at La Tricoterie the following day. Don't forget to book your ticket for this ball!
