It moves, it grooves, it swings: Nisia Trio is for dance lovers, that part of humanity that simply cannot stay still when music tickles their feet, their ears and their hearts. Whether it’s the infectious beat of a Sicilian tarantella, the gentle sway of a mazurka, or the irresistible whirl of a Circassian circle dance, the spirit of the project is to find the common thread running through this incredibly rich and varied array of dance music. To journey ‘piedi nudi’ – barefoot – from Sicily to Belgium, through the whole spectrum of sensations, emotions, scents and memories that carry us along this dancing – and sometimes stumbling – journey that is life.

  • Emanuela Lodato: vocals, frame percussion
  • Vincent Noiret: double bass, chitarra battente, vocals
  • Jonathan De Neck: diatonic accordion, vocals

Feather and Fox is a Belgo-German cello and mandolin duo. Christiane and Victor met during a Berlin summer on the banks of the river Spree and have been travelling all over Europe's balfolk scene with their delicate music ever since. From the very beginning, the duo plays for dancers and is inspired by their energy; playful and sensitive, they explore the sound possibilities in the interplay of the twelve strings of their instruments and create a unique sound, both feather-light and energy-driven.

  • Christiane Bisitz: Cello, Voice, Composition
  • Victor Lekeu: Mandolin, Percussion, Voice, Composition

Fair Trade price

Organising proper, enjoyable bals, with good musicians (often from abroad) is expensive and labour intensive. Nevertheless, the ticket prices for these types of live events are relatively low. By choosing the Fair trade price for our bals (on a voluntary basis of course), you contribute to a more fair compensation of the work and the costs of the musicians and organisers. Many thanks in advance! More info

We invite you to read the text Code of conduct & dancing tips that applies for all of our activities and recommend you to watch this video on consent and communication on the dance floor.

We also made a short YouTube video on managing space on the dance floor, and propose an overwiew of the most important recommendations on our website
