Göze was tussen 2003 en 2012 de dekmantel voor de meest uiteenlopende muzikale exploten van het duo Maarten Decombel (gitaar) en Wim Claeys (diatonisch accordeon). Ze leerden de stiel in het intieme huiskamercircuit, waar de essentie van hun warme luisterfolk het beste tot haar recht komt. 2 albums brachten de heren in duo uit: “Gezellig Onderuit Zonder Elektriek” (2004) en “Quand On Est Bien Amoureux” (2008). Tussenin toerden ze in quartet met Franse folkiconen Gilles Chabenat en Frédéric Paris, waarmee ze de plaat “Live En Flandre” (2006) opnamen. Daarnaast speelden ze met hun tweetjes honderden bals overal te lande, meegolvend op de nieuwe wind die Wim deed waaien met zijn Boombal. Vanaf 2012 begonnen andere projecten als Snaarmaarwaar en Wim’s muziektheater het stilaan over te nemen in hun agenda’s, maar sporadisch -zoals vanavond- slaan ze nog wel eens de handen in elkaar. Geniet er maar van, in deze constellatie zijn deze straffe folkmuzikanten dus eerder zeldzaam nog te zien!

Organising proper, enjoyable bals, with good musicians (often from abroad) is expensive and labour intensive. Nevertheless, the ticket prices for these types of live events are relatively low. By choosing the Fair trade price for our bals (on a voluntary basis of course), you contribute to a more fair compensation of the work and the costs of the musicians and organisers.
