Sara & Paulo

Sara and Paulo have been dancing together and teaching since 2012, in several European countries, in festivals, workshops and other balfolk-related events. They have accompanied several bands in concerts with dance teaching and are most passionate about questioning the rules and reinventing tradition. They have learned from a lot of teachers such as Koen Dhondt, Rafael & Nele, Matias, Mercedes Prieto, Christian Pacher and many others.
Sara started dancing balfolk in 2004. Paulo discovered it in 2010, with a background in traditional Portuguese folklore as a child.
Both Portuguese, they used to teach weekly folk dance classes in Lisbon and since 2016, they are based in Amsterdam.
