Former resident teacher at the school, Pierre Chesneau is joining us for a year with an ambitious project: to transform his 15 years of teaching Folk and Tango into a completely rethought teaching method.
Having grown up in the world of European folk music, from major festivals like Gennetines to more intimate events, Pierre has contributed to the evolution of the scene over 25 years as a teacher. Now “retired” from teaching, he is back with a holistic approach built around four fundamental pillars: movement dynamics, creative musicality, the social context of dances, and dance as a tool for personal development.
This systemic method promises to open up new horizons of bodily exploration and connection (to oneself, to others, to the community). There are two options: a beginners’ course or an advanced “Labo” course to try out this innovative teaching method.
In addition to the courses, Pierre will be developing sustainable audiovisual teaching tools for a wide audience. Naturally, participants will be the first to benefit!
