Two dance workshops with Koen Dhondt, given in English
09:30 – 12:30 Sauts béarnais
We will learn the Béarn-version of the sauts: circle dances with varying difficulty during which everyone dances a certain combination of steps without touching the neighbours. ‘Les 7 sauts’ (The seven jumps) is the best known dance of this vast repertoire. We will cover the basic steps: simple, copar, virar, virar tres, simple tres, marcar, trocar, and dobla and also learn some variations to those steps.

Oui, oui, c'est cette danse en chaîne qui paraît toute simple… et puis on se rend compte que c'est pas tout à fait le cas. Un beau défi pour danseurs intermédiaires et avancés! Avec variations, contretemps et tout!
Ja inderdaad, dat is die kettingdans die zo makkelijk lijkt op bals en als je dan meedoet, besef je dat die toch niet zo simpel is. Een mooie uitdaging voor (half)gevorderde dansers! Met variaties, tegentijden en alles erop en eraan!
