Great Folkball with live music !
No dance partner or experience needed. The ball starts with a dance initiation, so that also absolute beginners can enjoy themselves for the whole evening.
19:30 - Initiation by Koen Dhondt
20:30 - Broes
23:00 - Cocanha
Do not forget to reserve your ticket on time as Bal XL often sells out in advance! We take on the reservation costs ourselves. A ticket will thus cost the same amount in presale as at the door (if the event is not sold out).
We start on time so everybody can enjoy the second group, even those who have to catch public transport.
We strongly recommend you to read the text Code of conduct & dancing tips
Fair Trade price
Organising a quality ball with good (foreign) bands is costly and labour intensive. We have decided not to bargain on the musician’s fee this trimester (as we were unfortunately forced to do in the past), and thus pay them a fair price. To make this possible, the price of the ball was raised by €2. By choosing the Fair Trade Price, you furthermore actively contribute to a fairer compensation for the work and costs of Frisse Folk as organiser. A heartfelt thank you!
New: there is now also an adjusted Fair Trade price for those who do not work and for workshop participants.
Reduction for workshop participants
The workshop participants of the same weekend (ans sometimes also before) get a reduced price for the ball (see price for workshop participants).
De Maalbeek does not allow outside food or drinks. Thank you for respecting this request.
There is a discount price for one liter bottles of still water.
Did you know that the ticketsale of a sold out Bal XL doesn't generate enough income to cover all the costs of the ball? By consuming drinks at the bar, you contribute actively to the future of these balls. Thank you in advance!
