Practical info
Meal
We suggest all participants bring something to share with each other at lunchtime.
The Maalbeek Cultural Center does not allow people to bring their own drinks. Please respect this request. This semester, Frisse Folk offers water for free to participants in the Maalbeek.
The bar (coffee, tea, soft drinks, beer, wine) will be open throughout the day.
Language
Our workshops in Brussels are usually given in French, with translations into Dutch or English if necessary. Koen is fluent in 5 languages, so you will get individual feedback in the language of your choice.
Mandatory level
(FR) Stage de niveau avancé (ou bon niveau intermédiaire). Il faut savoir bien danser la scottish, la mazurka, la valse, la gigue, la polka & et la bourrée 2 temps, et bien maîtriser la position de danse, même sans y penser.
Un pré-requis de base pour cet atelier est d’avoir un esprit ouvert et joueur: ne pas avoir peur de se tromper ou de ne pas encore maîtriser quelque chose. Koen vous encouragera à repousser vos propres limites, à oser des choses nouvelles … pour que ce stage soit une expérience enrichissante pour tout un chacun.
(NL) Gevorderd niveau (of een degelijk halfgevorderd niveau). Je moet vlot scottish, mazurka, wals en polka en kunnen dansen en de danshouding zeer goed beheersen, zonder er bewust aan te hoeven denken. Als je minimum anderhalf jaar ervaring hebt in een andere dansdiscipline met leiders en volgers (salsa, tango, ballroom, ...) kan je ook aan deze stage deelnemen.
Een open en speelse geest is een basisvereiste voor deze workshop. wees niet bang om fouten te maken, of om iets niet te kunnen. Durf je eigen grenzen te verleggen, wees niet bang om dingen te doen die je niet goed kan, of die je nog nooit gedaan hebt... dan wordt deze stage zeker een heel leuke en verrijkende ervaring!
Dance partner
It is never necessary to register as a couple for our dance workshops. We will often change partners.
Therefore, you can register alone, as a couple, with friends ...
